This is a duplicate post to one in the L405 section, but this is safety related and should be seen.

Some 2018 cars have had this problem also in the UK, as mentioned in the Ffrr thread ! This was first noticed in 2020 !!!

I saw that video this morning. The extra worrying part is the side he thought was still good by looking at it was actually cracked as well, but only visible because he applied crack inspection spray (can't remember what it's actually called)

Definitely going to try and have a look at mine on the weekend

That got me as well. Certainly surprised him.

It was inevitable, using cast alloy. Who remembers aluminum walking beams?

At first inspection mine seem even and crackless.

I imagine the same result as when I asked LR AUS about the software updates the UK received to halt the thefts of L494..

Latest is that his case has escalated and LR Germany is investigating, and covering his repairs. Thing is, will they fit modified knuckles or simply replace them? It seems the in Germany he may have instigated a recall. Seriously, if the things were Toyotas there'd be a worldwide recall already in place.

The replacement knuckles are quite different to the earlier ones, with an obvious attempt to prevent the issue.
