    More cooling pipe concerns

There is dampness underneath that centre connection on the block..
could I just replace that clamp?
That hose should have been replaced by Big Jon last year with all the others. The Mech was concerned about the fitting breaking.. so I wriggled the hose and the rubber felt fine..
the connector shouldnt be heat/brittled so just a tightened clamp?

other than it being a LR is there any reason for such a stupid connector?

    The number I have is 8260B ?? or-- lr080118

Hey mate, did you sort it? It's an expensive hose for sure. The plastic fitting is extremely thin where the retaining clip goes, so I wouldn't wiggle it to much, when I first bought my car the spring clip hose clamp was missing and there was a normal worm drive clamp there. I just assumed the last mechanic was stupid, he left other evidence he was. You can replace the oring inside the push on fitting. Get a decent bore scope and have a look at the actual source.

I bought this online to try. It's amazing for these cars.

I have a pipe here, I could measure the oring for you if you need
