    Range Rover Evogue on latest top gear.

    Wow, the little Evogue is getting a great wrap on latest top gear, looks fantastic too.

    I hope my little deposit I paid will get me one of the 1st ones in November.

    Kind of glad I did it now.

    That little trolley will pull Land Rover sales and figures out of the **** single handedly, I put money on that.

    I didn't know that Victoria Beckham had her hand in design either nor that the Freelander was loosely based on a Ford Mondeo platform.

    Who would have guessed, my wife will never take it offroad anyhow so who cares.

    Looks and by all accounts drives great.

    Happy days

    Heard Paul Gover (motoring writer for the Melb Herald Sun) on the radio the other day. Reckoned the Evoque is a great car and will set a new standard in the class...... now this from a guy who NEVER has had a good word for LR in all the years I've known of him. Pretty big praise indeed

    Article I read last week suggested they have 18,000 advance orders for the Evoque. I've seen a fair few of them recently as my drive to / from work on a Monday / Friday takes me past Solihull (despite the Evoque being made up in Halewood), they're moving individual cars down south to the docks I think. Apart from the letterbox rear window view, I think it looks great, certainly SWMBO would love one.

    I wonder if it would have got up that rock step with a lift and bigger tyres? Can you lift a car, which does not have a chassis? The top gear guys didn't really have many bad things to say about it;

    No Low range, but they thought the electronic gadgets (hill decent / traction control / sand mode etc.) made up for that. Side mirrors too big. Perfect for checking your mascara in.

    Hope these are a really big success in Australia and flood the market, as I wouldn't mind replacing the Commodore with a cheap second hand (real) Range Rover in few years time.

    Beckford.
