Not real pretty. But I didn't like the D1 when it came out either, so maybe it will grow on me.............
Had to laugh, when the chick went in for the peck on the cheek, it looked like she was going to head but him.

Can't see the youtube clip (I'm at work and they're blocked) - but if it is the Discovery Sport as you've said in the title, it's not the new Discovery - it's the new Freelander replacement.

Having said that, the concept pics that I've seen of the new Discovery is somewhat similar in style, though larger. Looks similar to the Ford Territory in many respects.

    Google "Discovery Vision Concept".
    Cheers .........

Personally I think the New 'Freelander Replacement' looks pretty darn swish, provided it comes with low range Id seriously be tempted towards one!
I can already imagine it now sitting a bit higher with RAI and bullbar. . .

the big question is, will it stay in the Freelander price point? surely it has to be cheaper than the Evoque?

It has the same new ZF 9 speed auto as the Evoque, which has a crawler 1st gear and usually starts in second on road.

It also has an electronic rear diff with electronically controlled clutches that direct power to each rear wheel with no direct gear connection.

The LRO tester thought it was very good on the test track but not as good as a mechanical 2 speed setup.

I am starting to think that the Land Rover people

Have lost the plot the Land Rover was a utilitarian

Vehicle that was simple to maintain simpler still in

Construction and to repair would go just about anywhere

And did not readily turn into a rust bucket now days

It seems to be becoming a a status symbol or Yuppy vehicle

That you would not want to take out in the paddock

To do a days work from or even take out in the bush

Cause ya might scratch it -- Any one know when the

Last rites ceremony is being held

It has some similarity with the Ford Territory.
I would love to see some 3rd world country to start building the old RR Classic again with a simple and powerful engine
    Keep dreaming......................
Then again some Chinese can copy it
