LR Germany tries out the DS in NT

I stumbled across a series of YouTube videos showing a trip through the NT in mostly the new DS.

You can find it by doing a YouTube search on:

    2015 Land Rover Experience Australien.

    Or this link

    [ame]https://youtu.be/-piYDeHQJlM[/ame]

    Unfortunately it's not in English.

Interestingly it looks like LR Germany brought their own RHD vehicles, as one video an Aussie helper refers to the vehicles clearing quarantine. I can't see any suggestion that LR Australia was involved.

They certainly gave the DSs a caning on the corrugated roads.

    Also reported here

Including the end of tour summary in the media which says Tourism Australia were involved. No mention of LR Australia in this article.

    They're here...

You need to brush up on your linguistics...
They are speaking Dutch. So presumably it is LR NL.

dde04 I'll take your word for it Ben. It sounds like LR Germany organised it. I read they ran a competition for 6 people to go. Thousands put in for it. Great marketing tactic for the new DS. Most participants looked like journos.

Yep, mostly a journo extended review trip but with the competition for 6 members of the general public to participated added. Presumably European-based magazines etc discussing the capability of the DS in the rugged Aussie outback. I managed to translate one of the website blogs. It was in German. Brilliant marketing I think.
