Having just completed a warranty claim (also on the Gold Coast), I must say the dealer was excellent. Mine was only a wheel bearing, but speed sensor and brake disk were also replaced as they may have been damaged as a result of the primary problem. They could have made it difficult, but it ended up being the easiest process I have gone through with a motor vehicle repair.

I don't get why Geelong would replace an engine to fix electrical issues, but they are the experts, not me (agree with Bob that outlaying for a replacement engine means they were committed to fixing the issue).

Of all the problems you described, the seat automatically moving whilst driving, should be described as a critical. It has the potential to cause a life threatening incident.

If the electrical issues are continuing, then I would not rest until you get the outcome you deserve (a replacement vehicle seems fair).

Have you spoken to Landrover directly (i.e. not the dealer)? It is not mentioned in your post. If you had no joy with the dealer - second point of call would be to make them directly aware of your situation. A series of repair events will only be logged in a data base and may not be noticed for some time (if at all). Likewise - don't put any hope in the follow up surveys you would have received. Contact LR directly and present the case.

If that step has been exhausted then you will find a far better response from regulatory bodies to take up your fight (Fair Work, ACCC and anyone else who will listen).

It is not a nice situation to be in, to say the least. I feel for you having to go through it. Try to work with LR first though it might save some headaches.

I'm interested to see how this develops as it seems some of these cars have on going electrical issues.

There must also be other issues as my car said it has 20,000km to next service at 10,800km on the ODO. It's now showing 7700km to next service at 12,700km on the ODO. It's already had one "service required" warning and multiple other electrical gremlins - Disco Sport Fault Report

I have heard from a very accurate source, there are 5 LR products at the local stealers that can't be repaired and the owners won't give back their loan cars.

I made that post back in March, now in June the car is back at the dealership with repeated electrical faults. This time I managed to get the car to reproduce the faults for the technician. They wanted it immediately in the workshop and have told me it will be with them at least "a couple of days".

I'd be Keen to hear how the OP got in with this one and if they got the bottom of their issues eventually.

I think the advice to get legal advice is best. I have major problems with a 2018 DS for 2.5 years. LR and the dealer have done their best to avoid or ignore them.
