Thread: Wiring for dashcam

Hi, guys n gals,
i have installed a small aftermarket dash cam in my MY17 DS just in front of the rear view mirror, passenger’s side of the binnacle that contains the electronic forward looking gee wiz stuff. At the moment I have a usb cable draped down to the socket above the glovebox. Does anyone know where there is and how to find an ignition-switched 12v wire in the overhead binnacle somewhere that I can tap into to make this tidier? (12v to 5v converter is a trivial addition).

Thanks Guthrie, that’s useful. I had hoped to pick something up in the overhead unit, but it looks like it might not be too hard to run the wire down to the fuse box.
