They won't be able to build these quick enough to keep up with the demand.
A mighty handsome vehicle.

SupporterLooking in more detail at the info on the LR web site last night, they seem to have a different transfer case on the Velar than the FPace. The FPace has a road orientated AWD system with drive biased to the rear, 80/20 I think. The Velar has a 50/50 transfer case with drive apportioned to the wheels with grip. Reading between the lines this seems to be the same as the Discovery and the FFRR with the ediff in the transfer case. Maybe only an easy step to incorporate low range at a later date if the market wants it??

SupporterYeah, I wouldn't want one but they are perfectly placed for people who don't want an Evoque but find the Sport too big and expensive. I reckon they will fly out the door and if they are a spin off from the FPace, a bit of marketing genius at much less development expense than a brand new platform.
Previously they would have had a choice of the FPace or the Discovery Sport in Jaguar LR products. This car would be a perfect fit for lovers of the RRS shape and who want a smaller RR.

This has all the latest goodies, And for reference it is the same aluminium architecture D7a Chassis as the Jaguar f-pace.
That is where the similarities end.
The Newest item is the 2.0L 'Ingenium' petrol engine, better than the current 2.0L, made by JLR (according to them)
