Historically JLR are always ahead of the game tech wise, I don't think by any means anyone will be disappointed in that regards.

It hasn't been that long really in the UK, last defender although expensive was probably the best ever in many regards and was released for sale in 2018 delivery early 2019.

Here i think last defenders where being handed late 2016 early 2017, so its like a 3 year wait so no doubt a few would have had to jump onto something else in the meantime.

For me I would much rather they test it thoroughly and get it right then rush it through.

Agree, they 100% would have looked at feedback here and everywhere else when concept was released, before going back to the drawing board.

Lets just hope it is relatively easy to fit accessories,cargo barriers, bars,large racks,etc,etc.

S'funny ain't it Rick. That is exactly how I felt about leaving my humble D1 behind in the dealer's car park, & I was talking to a FOXTEL tech yesterday who felt the same about his old motor Bike, a photo of which kept popping up on his mobile & I don't think the poor guy will ever get over his loss.

Seems there are Motor Bike Tragics as well as Land Rover ones.

That did make me laugh out loud Sir Desmond!

The winch was used back in the farm days for pulling cows out of dams, straightening fences, pulling the bullbar straight on the then SWMBO's Patrol after another roo strike. (She insisted on the shiny alloy 'bar rather them the advised steel one....)
Pulling Prado's out of sticky situations....
But I can't recall actually using it for tradie use?
