Tradies Ute or “chicks Ute” is the most popular sales today - serves no use to me.

The 130 is perfect in many ways - dual
Cab with 1800x1800 tray no loss of off-road ability and can load up Over a tonne and still travel over most terrain. A 79 DC is the only thing close but most put shorter trays on than 1800 to keep clearance to rear spring hangers in check.

Toyota stopped selling the 75 tub Ute early in the run as they are just not as useful in a proper work Ute



I can’t see a 2020 defender with a long wheel base and cab chassis being made
They are marketing this thing more as a 200series / Patrol Luxo wagon not a work vehicle

Someone on a different forum pointed out if you zoom in on the media version of Land Rover pictures available on the media website the rear wheel size and tyre size is visible.

Is this the first official confirmation of factory fitted 18s?

The MOAB Defenders we're running on 20s with 32 inch tyres.

So 18's with 32s will live an increase in sidewall from what we saw at moab.

Looks like an alloy roof rack of some kind.

So does this mean a whole "rack" of factory accessories from Land Rover [emoji6]

Nice tyre size,32",as said,and available in KO2 with a good load rating,and a bit of sidewall.And a few other brands as well.[biggrin]

I bet it is expensive....Edit,actually its not,and its available here in Aus.

This may be the only new vehicle in the LR range that proper off road tyres can be fitted on OEM rims,with out going oversize.[thumbsupbig]

Rack looks good as well,probably fits on same way as D4,which is a good system.

I would take that pic with a grain of salt, both for the tyre and the vehicle.

The tyre size seems to read 275/85/R18 that would give you a side wall of 9" and a 34" tyre and there is no way that is what that tyre is. On top of that you have the load index and speed rating of 95W which gives you 690Kg and 270Kph - I highly doubt a tyre with that tread is going to hit those speeds not to mention the under spec weight index.

It's all photoshop. LR are not going to go to the trouble of disguising all the test vehicles only to reveal it in a single marketing pic.

Maybe they are clever enough to know the world is going to look at that sort of thing and are throwing out hints on what might be possible, who knows? Could be the exact opposite too.

EDIT: maybe it's a 35 profile tyre which would make it about a 25" tyre.... all the numbers on the tyre would make sense then including making the profile look right, just the issue of the photoshopped tread and being made to fit the wheel arches. yep, all bogus.

After having a good look at tusk in high res, very little substantial photoshop, lots of wrap to conceal detail.

What brand of tyre is on the moab trucks?

I guess the point of above post of tusk is the tyre shown 18inch, it appears to be a tyre that is not yet on the market.

My guess is they have reached out to BFG and said we need something aggressive that can also go fast, maybe will be released with defender.

I was going to say
275/85 is a 9” side wall
If that is an 18” rim the sidewall would have to be half the height of the rim

275/35 would be 3.75” sidewall or 20% rim diameter
Which looks to match the picture by eyeball

Which also equals mall crawler rubber!

26” overall - same as the 20” rim in utah

Obviously 26” fits their blacktop targets nicely
If that be the case won’t be fitting 32” legally in Australia??
