Imo they will be taking chunks out of many different brands.
Their biggest seller in oz at the moment is the Disco sport

Toyota stopped making real work utes with tubs years ago
(Hilux is a tradies Ute) Work Ute to me equals doing work equals cab chassis ute
So it can’t just be my opinion but one shared by nearly every station in Aus that flogs around in cruiser utes (cab chassis)
I too don’t think they will make a 130 cab chassis
Meh - I’ll make do - and so my opinion can be mine.
I seriously think though that in 10 years time people will still call a 90s-2015 defender a “defender” and this thing will be just another in-memorable Land Rover perhaps adored by a new breed of AULRo members but largely ignored and mistaken for any SUV by the majority
They had a chance to do something out of the box but JLR just love their one “look” too much
Generic SUV

REAL work utes don't have "Tubs" they have "Trays" and Toyota still make them in their thousands, Landrovers stopped making tray back work utes decades ago.Quote:

Depends what type of real work you are doing I guess, as said previously plenty of people do real work out of tubs both in Defenders and other brands.
Wasn't the defender 130 and the 110 cab chassis tray compatible right up to 2015 last defender?
Also the defender tub was as close to a tray as you could get in a tub imo.

Most tradies and miners use trays because it is so much easier to load and unload them compaired to a tub and dual cab trays are usually too small and cant carry the same weight as a single cab ute.
Single cab tray back utes are by far the most popular Work ute and the most useful in a work enviroment.
I read an English story predicting prices in the 40-70k pounds range in the UK. No idea if that is right.
