Mate that was June July school holidays 2017...dry season allegedly. Very deep and floated.a.few times. Great adventure. That crossing saw a.D3 with us go back on the slow boat unfortunately. Kept activating CDL on the way to.Seisa.and wrecked the autobox. cheers

JLR's diesel SUVs get top marks in independent emissions test

    This is interesting with dieselgate

    Well played JLR

Maybe diesels will stay around a bit longer than expected

New defender is said to have a range of engines so will be interesting.

In July '07 we got to Nolans and it was 300mm over the bonnet of the D2a,so that was the end of that, didn't even attempt it.All other water crossings were deep, but fine.

In August '09,we got through Nolans with a bow wave over the top of the bonnet,as did a D3 that followed us,but there was a drowned late model V8 Jeep there. All other crossings,Palm,Logan,Pasco, etc no worries, same as 07.

Gotta get back there, its a fantastic place.

They also let it sit in Deep water with the doors open for an hour, before draining the water and seeing if it would start. It did. It seems they have gone to some length to waterproof the electronics.
