Is it just me or does the Tyre on the rear door appear to be a 'spacesaver'.

    'Phew', That's better.
I know it's a heretical stance , however given the irksome foibles of the traditional Defender, it'll be interesting to see if they've ironed out many of the weak spots.
Fundamentally the Defender is an outstanding bit of engineering, let down by woeful quality control and a crap attitude to embracing all that a great R & D department has to offer.

Yet another nod to reality that this is a luxo SUV

Windows never to be opened - always up with climate control set

Otherwise induction noise from the snorkel running full height
Of window opening would be annoying as all get out in slow going low range work?

    It looks sexy though

Yes the rumour is you only get the full sized spare if you order the ‘Outback Pack’.
It includes front bar,tow bar, full length roof rack, and rock sliders.
Also heavy duty high load rated A/T’s,on18” rims, brand and size your choice.

Just make sure you are sitting down before you ask the salesman the price.

Ive always not been a fan of forward facing ram snorkel in heavy rain, bug etc environments.
Looks like some decent tyres with good sized sidewalls.

    Ha, Hmm doubt it.

But your prob right on the outback pack contents, add, snorkel, recovery points and a winch

Probs get 20-30k change on what a fully built/fixed 79 would cost, and 1T less weight Won’t be retro...
