I saw this the other day.
My 130 CC replacement is on its way!
Interestingly I was looking at one (unimog) yesterday for $19K (with a smoky engine) with the view to convert it to full electric
I can't see why crash testing will be an issue, it's a modern CAD and FEA designed vehicle.
From the little I understand of EU pedestrian safety regs it wouldn't pass, but I can't see why it wouldn't comply with Oz ADR's?
Bollinger have no intention of it meeting EU standards , which are Bull**** anyway.
The Iveco 4x4 E5 & E6. Meet EU certification , Hit a pedestrian with one of those and you will go straight under & get minced in the kangaroo slicer. They are certified as EU4 in AU on the back of EU 5 /6 certification but no way on this planet do the brakes even come close to meeting ADR’s. no way known. They are outright dangerous.
I don’t gives a flying **** about ****ing ESC Airbags or ****ing pedestrian impact injuries.
The Defender does not meet NA standards but is fine for AU , If the Bollinger meets USA regs I’ll be more than happy with it . It’s not actually designed for ****ing coffe shop crawling. For ****s sake , what a bunch of ****ing dickheads.
I have reserved one too.
When the new defender is announced, I will sell my puma defender.
Cheers
So i questioned the safety ratings on the Bollinger facebook page and got this reply....
"100% fully compliant and road-legal throughout the US and many markets around the world."
Seeing as you can register some pretty crazy things over there and that the other countries are not mentioned then i think this comment is worthless.
