OK surprised this has not already been posted. Or I've missed it. Makes for the most detailed read of everything I have yet to find. Lots of stuff not on the configurators. Enjoy!

Those prices are very reasonable. You could tick a lot of options for not very much money. Multiplying the prices by 1.5 to translate to AUD shows me how much LRA loads up here. USD 700 for metallic paint would put it at about AUD 1000 but here it costs AUD 2000+. It will be interesting to compare pricing once it is release here.
    Cheers,

    Sean

Unfortunately you can never compare US (or Europe) prices to OZ prices.

Not just LR - but BMW, Merc, Audi, etc.

I hope that LR will be price competitive - but I fear that LR will price things along the lines of “we will charge what we think people will pay”.

Anyway - I am waiting for AUS pricing....

Yep. US market is just so vast. They don't have to pay.silly prices for imports.

LR have been pretty clear that they want to “break imto” the American market...

The majority of the videos that I have seen are LHD...

Which is sad considering Britain is RHD...

This bloke seems to think the Defender will be well equipped from standard from $US 50k.

    YouTube

I guess I could get used to LHD, high fat food and Trump.

Yes, it's called the "I live in Australia so charge me double" tax.

Nope, it's called the " I live in Australia and have to comply with the ADRs" tax. LR make cars for ALL markets, but Aus has some of the most stringent rules of all the RHD markets.

    list-of-left-driving-countries

A little bit hard to deal with really. The UK don't have the same requirements we do. LR MUST focus on the biggest markets.

    Guys, the world has changed.

It's OK, I do know how it works.
