Dunno, haven’t heard of any larger diesel going in 2020 Defender?
Don’t know about D5,but latest Aus specs have the Ingenium diesel 6,not the TDV6.
It’s got great power/torque figures and very similar fuel usage ratings to D240.
It would be a good seller in 2020 Defender,IMHO,particularly in Aus,for those coming from TDV6 in D3/4,and other brands with larger diesels,as an example.
MY21 is a long way away,thats 2 yrs.
Oh well, hopefully by then any issues will be sorted.
I bet it has the big brakes and has a huge price premium.
I wonder what the premium is in D5,over the D240?
EDIt About $9K,looking at D5 prices on LRA site.

Agree.... looks like they have snuck the word 'Ingenium' in on the configurator only... elswhere e.g in the 20MY spec guide, it is referred to as SDV6 . I think the contract for supply of the Ford produced 'Lion' diesel engines (which come out of the Dagenham plant) is due to end sometime next year.... so maybe they are starting to update their collateral already ?
As I recall, and unless it has changed as a principle engineering design consideration, anything with Land Rover or Range Rover on it, off the show room floor has to legally be able to pull a loaded double horse float.
Cheers
