True, I believe the axles and driveshafts are the strongest of any LR to date on the new defender, also the balljoints etc have been upgraded for D7x.

Just found this 1950 series 1 in the Herberton Historic Village and wondered if the new Defender would be as influential in coming decades as the original one has been.

Hope they drained all the oil out before putting it on the carpet, or is that pebbles or something.
Stock is 255/60R20 = 32" or 813mm.
Those "demo" tyres are 295/50R21 = 32.6" or 828mm .. such an odd size.
I was thinking 275/60R20 = 33" or 838mm. So many choices in that size. Goodyear AT or Duratrac, Pirelli Scorpion AT, Nitto Terra grappler, BFGoodrich KO2 .. heaps more, Coopers, Mickey Thompson, General, Hancook.
And 25mm over stock is legal in most states in Aus.
Same winch as the one in my sig.....
The good old capstan, geez it got us out of some trouble over the years.
But it did make changing the engine fan belt a PITA[bigsad]
Anyway,back on topic,nice pics,BR.
Hopefully the bushes on the suspension arms have been uprated as well as the ball joints.
Looks to be that wayhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...98437307af.jpg
