How close was my prediction soooo many months ago in “that” thread? I was way under predicting the price of this thing
Dealer delivery / on roads /LCT to be added to all those base only prices!!!
Then plus plus for the littlest accessories
And still a poxy three year warranty.
Hmmmm
No Ute
Ugly
Crazy $
New Defender in Aus = Irrelevant
Tombie - Me thinks your P400 budget just exploded!

OK - waded through the options - your are right you can add leather to base spec. Couldn't see pricing. So not too bad, although double a top spec Triton on the road, so for me I am glad I pulled the trigger on the Triton (and I needed one when I bought it and couldn't wait for the new Defender). Still after a few years shake down I might look again. It is not twice the vehicle though - far from it, and these days I like looking at value as well as the drive.
However if that price list is ex LCT then $75,000 including leather seats will be ANOTHER $8,500 odd including LCT, dealer delivery, GST on dealer delivery, rego in Qld...wow that's getting expensive for what it is although compared to Disco 5 looks pretty good price wise...

It’s a trivial problem but it will probably rule me out for the first release.
I don’t want a Sun Roof, but I do want the Active Matrix Headlights and preferably diesel.
The Active Matrix Headlights are only available on the HSE.
I think the price will already include LCT. If it doesn't then LCT is only calculated on every dollar over the LCT threshold which is currently $67,525. So, for a $75K vehicle(inc. GST), LCT will be 33% of $7,474 = $2,466.75.
LCT will definitely be classified as “an onroad charge” As is GST as is rego...
Dealer delivery will be what $2500 or so?
My reading of those prices is An easy plus $10k to get a drive out the door price.
Before accessories (which get slugged with LCT too)
Won’t be too many sub $90k 110s out the door by the time people add paint / silly side ladders
Etc ...
This is a seriously luxo SUV that just happens to be quite capable off-roader
It’s too ugly to steal buyers from the RangeRover market
It’s going to be very very niche in Australia which is a shame as the relevance of LR will fade ;(
