Sadly I’ve never had a D2 wave back to me. I do miss that part of owning a D2

I have had a lot of D2 and Deefers wave at my D2.

Today at Mt New I had an excited young guy stop and get his MR Triton window down to say G'day (I was driving my Mitsu today). Having said that most of the vehicles I saw were Pajero and Tritons today and a couple of Mazda and Toyota. No LR sadly.

    Cheers

I wave, or raise the finger, to all Land Rovers.
Sometimes get a wave back, sometimes not.

Once North of the Curry I wave to everyone. On the long stretches South of the Curry, every one, Across to Normanton, every one, East to Mt Garnet, every one.
Curry to Mt Isa, no, way to much traffic.

PS Folks who hire motorhome/vans just don't wave. Back packers are either enthusiastic or ignorant, most others are OK.

The question is, would you recognise a new 'Defender' to wave at it in the first place ?

If I'm in the Defender or a Series I wave to other Defenders or Series vehicles. I've more or less given up with Disco's, if they wave I wave back.

If I’m in the desert camo 110 I get lots of waves. If I’m in the L322 I generally get the reverse middle finger wave, I assume people think it’s an expensive luxo car. Ironically the 110 is worth lots more.

If I do something about the sun damage on my d2 I'm tempted do to white roof with defender grey body. Should get me a few more waves I think.
