New Defender Aussie Road Tests and Reviews

On Facebook have been watching a carsales.com.au comparison between the new 6 cyl Defender and top of the range Toyota Prado Kakadu.
Comparing all the usual; interiors/comfort/ergonomics/ride/driveability/on road and off road etc.
The Defer gets a huge rap and thumbs up.
Wins the contest hands down in virtually every area.
Even suggested its a better car for the school run........
Nice to see an honest & frank comparo which is not biased towards you know who.......

The Patrols could do with losing the stock side steps in favour of sliders but this vid compares Defender 2 indy suspension to Y62 indy suspension. The Defender did not appear to have quite the suppleness and travel of the stock Nissan.

Many of the Patrols were modded, where the Defender looked to be shod with road going slippers.
The Patrols would have been at least 500KG heavier, as well.

Agreed mate. But I was more interested in the stock blue one with road tyres v the stock Defender 2. The Patrol if anything looked more planted and at ease. At the least it didn't appear to give anything away to the Defender. Cheers
