    Disable Engine Auto Stop/Start

    Hi All,

In preparation for the long wait delivery of a new D300 Defender 110 in several months time ( conditional on COVID not causing any further production and shipping delays ), does any one know how to permanently disable the engine auto stop/start, rather than having to push a button on the dash every time I start the car ?

I've seen a couple of threads for D5 where you remove a plug in a panel in the cargo area ( right hand rear ). But I suspect this is for the previous V6 diesel and not the new Ingenium 6cyl 221 kw 48 volt system.

Do you think this annoying feature could be disabled using an advanced automotive scan tool ?

    Any ideas ?

In the D240 models it can be disabled by disconnecting the plug shown in the attached which is located under the floor in the boot.
I don't believe this exists in the P400 models which are MHEV like the D300 so not sure if you will have this option available.

    Thanks Weeman.

I'll have to wait till the D300 arrives and see if there is the same plug. BTW is it the white or black plug you disconnect ?

I think I’ve seen this episode - do I cut the red cable, or the blue cable?
