SIM card slot

From what I've been given to understand, there are 2 types of sim cards (Online Pack with Data Plan and Wi-Fi Enabled with Data Plan). The first one is standard and is in-built so we dont have a SIM card slot for this and the data pack comes with the LR Pivi Pro account for which we have to register. This is used for software upgrades and on the go updates when you dont have Wi-Fi.
However, the Wi-Fi Enabled which is a $500 ish option which will have a SIM card slot which will also enable us to use as a hotspot.

There was a recent Facebook post by JLR Retrofits relating to this issue. Simple and effective.

I do wonder about people that buy a Land Rover for their hotspot. Seriously????

I have an MY 20 TD240 se, it has the nano sim slot.There is no WiFi hot spot option in the menu.
So not sure what else the sim might be for, certainly not WiFi hot spot.
If that is the case I wouldn't bother with the nano sim.

I have an MY21 HSE. I read the sim card is embedded in the vehicle somewhere and cant be accessed. Sure like to know where.
