Yep, I started watching it last week, I couldn't and won't finish it.

In fact, i'm pretty sure no one could watch it right to the end in less than 3 sittings.

The old adage that "there's no such thing as bad publicity" is badly put to the sword here.

I was all for the new defender, after watching 3 minutes of this, I'm out...

Wow - you are “out” because of one flog?

That rules out a lot of cars then! 🤣

I have to agree with you. The guy was very difficult to watch. Rest assured not all new Defender owners are like that.

I have to admit - the new Defender has definitely bought a different set of new owners…

The car is awesome. The knob on the video isn’t. Call a spade a spade. I’d have one in a heartbeat if I could justify it, could afford it, could wait for it, and had a real need for it. My issue with brand new nice cars like that is when I run through scrub and scratch it, when I smack it on something, all the things, it hurts much more than the ragged D4, and that takes away some of the fun.

Yep! Same here. In saying that, it probably means that I have very little reason to call the bloke a knob, tosser, ****** and complete goose!

No, nope and hell no! I recently drove down from Brisbane to Tasmania and spent two weeks exploring out-of-the-way places. Even with 4,000km of "highway" driving to do to Melbourne and back I opted to go with the MTs on 18" rims instead of the factory tyres on 20's. There are some bloody rough dirt/rock roads down there and we found it entirely worthwhile to drop to 20psi on some of those even with speeds of 60-80km/h. 40psi felt like we were going to shake ourselves to pieces.

I'm very happy with the L663 suspension other than the lack of a sway bar disconnect. But adjusting your pressures to suit the conditions is still part of properly operating the machine.

    New Defender

The $1M bogan vid was cringeworthy but ok for a laugh, even though he wasnt trying to be funny.

The 663 is clearly the most all round capable vehicle straight out of a showroom, but at that price. I just can’t justify that much cash tied up in a vehicle that mostly drives on the road.
