Well done guys, that's the kind of honesty that we all need.

Over the last 12 months I have fixed problems in the USI-160 and replaced it with the new UST-175.

I have also added a number of new features to the DT90 and the UST-175, like the LOCK function, and was in the process of getting ready to promote all this work, when I, like other electronics users, got caught up in the worldwide IC shortage.

By shear luck, I bought a large quantity of IC late last year but just 3 weeks ago, I found out that there will be no ICs available for the next 52 weeks ( at the earliest ) so I have had to restrict my production to just D3 and D4 kits.

With the stocks of ICs I have, this will keep me in business for the next 2 to 3 years.

They are suggesting about an 18 month lead time for IC production to increase and for new stock to become available.

While I will keep developing a number of new projects, I will not be able to go into full production of these new products, including kits for the new Defenders, for possibly as much as 18 months.

Again, sorry for any inconvenience this will occur, but I have no option.

Aligns perfectly with the lead time for my MY23.5 P400SE (at last correspondence from JLRA).

My DT90 is around the same price as their cheapest unit.

But the DT90 protects both the cranking battery and the auxiliary battery. That one only protects the cranking battery.

The DT90 comes with the In-Cab module that allows you to make operating changes while sitting in the driver's seat. That unit needs you to go out under the bonnet and actually re-program it, each time you want a charge.

The DT 90 has other features just not available on other types of isolators.
    Hi Tim
I have your USI in my D2 and full kit with rear power in my D4.
Have ordered a D300 Defender and will wait for your kit to be available. In the meantime are you suggesting simply get a decent solenoid isolator and run off the main battery with ignition sense for the solenoid?
I have an Arrid isolater I used on the D2 prior to getting your unit.

    thanks

Hi folks and first off all I can do is offer my apologies for the delay in getting replacements on their way.

Thanks to a total stuffup of a move to new premises, I have literally been closed since the beginning of October last year.

The move has been an absolute nightmare and when I have the time, I will post up my experience.

But for now, I started shipping the first of many back orders last week a I will work my way through them as quickly as possible.

The good news is that as I have been able to source the chip I use, all be it in the smallest possible package, and I will need to have the new PCBs assembled by a third party, but it will allow me to go back to producing the full range of products and some new ones.

NOTE, while I am in full production of the SC89s and DT90s, there will be at least 3 weeks before the USI160 and the new UST-175 go back into production as I am waiting on a couple of components need to produce these isolator.

I have a large number of back orders to fill and will be contacting all those who had the patience to wait till I was up and running again and will meet these orders first.

There are a number of USI-160 replacements to be catered for and I will address these first, once there production is up and running.

Again my apologies for the delay.
