    Adaptive cruise control problem

Twice now, the adaptive cruise control has seemed to re-enabled itself after braking

This what happened the second time. Driving along highway with Adaptive cruise control set to 108. Braked lightly to disable the ACC and slow down to turn right down a side road.
Released the brake just before commencing the turn and suddenly the ACC kicked back in, accelerating hard. Needed to brake to defeat the acceleration

This has only happened twice, and the ACC normally works fine.

The only thing I can think of is the brake pedal needs considerable travel to activate the brake switch. I found this as the vehicle wont start if the brake pedal is only lightly applied, it needs to be depressed some distance to allow starting.

Has anyone experienced similar with L663?

Can't comment re L663, coz I haven't got mine yet, but....my wife's Jeep GC also has ACC, and I have had this happen once, but not turning into a street, just on the freeway. I do think it's brake pedal pressure related.

Safest thing to do, irrespective of your braking pressure is to switch it off with the Cancel button whenever you want to depart a freeway, change lanes or overtake. Very easy to switch it back on and the set speed is retained in memory.

My Disco doesn't by other car has adaptive CC. I can very lightly brake with out disabling the CC sometimes.

I tend to turn it off it doing much more than straight line driving myself. Mine is very good at distance and handles emergency braking well ( with me squeezing my butt checks with foot hovering over brake!!

Its speeds a bit too quickly if reactivating when I am turning corners. It does slow a bit in corners when at full speed. Sensible I guess but not really required I think on several corners.
