Thread: Pivi Pro Software Updates

I saw a notification that this update had been downloaded and so I scheduled installation for last night. Sadly, it seems to have failed. My software is still the old version from February and the car says the software is up to date. Hopefully I will get the notification again. I don't know how to locate the download and try again.

OS Release 3.3.3IMPORTANT:
In an upcoming update we will improve profile/account capabilities.
To save your personal settings, navigation destinations, etc., each profile must be linked to an InControl account before the next update. We therefore strongly recommend that you have an InControl account registered for each profile to ensure that your personal settings are saved.
New in this version:
Our teams love to find ways to improve. This update includes a number of performance improvements and bug fixes that benefit the following systems (please note that updates are dependent on vehicle specification):
– Parking Assist
– Interface for 3D Surround Camera System and Parking Assist
– Trailer Assist System
– Wade Sensing
Tip: The rear parking camera displays graphical overlays showing the closest parking distance while maintaining access to the trunk/trunk lid (applicable vehicles).

I was away for a couple of weeks. When I returned I drove the car. At the end of the short journey, I saw a message that the update was ready to install (again). Rather than try to schedule it for later, I decided to accept it. All done and the changes advised have occurred.

2 weeks ago while I was driving, my cameras all dropped out and apple carplay also was disabled. When ever I put it in reverse or press the camera button, it just came up with "Cameras not available" and the apple carplay button disappeared and couldn't connect via USB.

Strangely enough 3 days ago, I started the car and everything was back to normal. I took it into JLR yesterday and their head tech said that they were having issues with the current update (Feb) but the recent one is still in Beta and he doesn't advise updating yet.

They are all flying to Sydney next week for a specific training course on the new systems for Defender and new engine stuff for the V8 version.

He did confirm that in the next update there is a bit focus on fixing the wireless apple carplay issue where it drops out every time you drive through a toll gate.

I only downloaded 3.3.3 about a week ago. Doh!

Often wondered what happens if during the update the battery goes flat or the wifi is interrupted or signal is corrupted.

Does it brick you car? Like a phone update getting interrupted.

Do you get in and nothing happens? No start, no dash lights, no door locks.

Does the stealer then need to come out and do a manual update in your garage?

MIne updated in the carpark at work yesterday morning so no wifi required (my car is not on the work wifi) and i am sure it would check battery condition prior to updating.

Much the same as the IID tool checks battery prior to updating the CCF.
