Looks like sensor got confused with a software glitch. But imho also parly user error perhaps in not checking oil correctly. I've had false readings before, just need to wait a bit longer and cycle the ignition - seemed to fix it. Now back to old skool dipstick, which is still a guess, and you still have to wait for oil to drain to sump with engine at operating temperature.
