Thread: Defender 110 D300 SE Lower Grill Shroud

Defender 110 D300 SE got hit by a kangaroo while driving at low speed so the kangaroo escaped fine however the Lower grill shroud to the radiator is damaged and requires the removal of the front bar for replacement. The dealer service charge for parts and fitment quote is AUD2,145.01.

Question is whenever the expedition one or tuffant or new defender mod bullbar with winch comes in Australia is this grill shroud removed to fit the bullbar with winch?

I am trying to see if I should carry out the works now through insurance or wait for the bull bar with winch to be available for fitment later?

Also is the shroud part available elsewhere and can it be fitted by another Indy mechanic?

With the OEM protection bar the center lower section is replaced by the bar:

The lowest section below the bar can be replaced with the OEM bash plate that replaces the plastic panel and exposes the recovery loop for easy access.
