    Steel wheels for Defender D300

    Hello everyone,
I am in the process of ordering a new Defender 110. I know, I will be waiting for close to 12 months for my car to arrive. I am really keen on the Tasman Blue colour with a white contrast roof and the 18" white steel wheels(style 5093). But I can choose 18" wheels only with the P 300 engine and not with the D 300 engine. The local dealer mentioned that P400 and D300 have large disc brakes hence 18" wheels will be too small. The car will need at least 19" or 20" wheels. The steel wheels come only in 18". Has anyone come across this situation? On a good online search, I have not come across any 19" white steel wheels which will match Defender. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Perhaps post this in the L663 section. You would be more likely to get a response there.

Tuff Ant wheels are another option for 18's, with a brake caliper mod,i believe.
But i don't think they are white steel, probably white alloy.

I think you meant "too tribal"

Is there a reason apart from the looks that you want to fit steel wheels?

Yes the D300 because of the rear brake calipers comes from the factory with the choice of either 19" or 20" alloys. 20" wheels open up a greater range of tyre choices than 19".

Some of us have paid to have the Tuffant caliper conversion to fit its 18" alloy wheels to improve tyre choices for off-road and improve side wall dimensions for lower tyre pressures. It is a certified /approved modification that only applies to a couple of its wheels as far as I'm aware.
