Do you power the compressor with alligator clips attached to the terminals nearby?
I decided to go with an engine bay compressor and chose the TJM single on a TLR bracket in that open space in the front of the engine bay. Reasonably straightforward project and am very pleased with the solid result. The compressor comes with an expansive harness for remote switching and front and rear lockers so had to prune it back by about 90%.
can recommend both suppliers. Photo before wiring and switch

I've hard wired it. Earth to the nearby post for the jumper cables and positive to one of the mega fuse terminals which I think are there for winch installs and the like.
Just used the inline fuse that came in the TJM harness.
It's off the starter battery so need to have the engine running to avoid problems there but that's a typical scenario. There's provision in the harness to power the relay from an ignition source but haven't bothered with that.
