The old and the new in a war

This poms, (with few beers for sure) are playing with the RR
Just wonder if the condition of the tyres in both vehicles were the same

Interesting that they lowered the Sports air suspension before they had their little tug of war.
    Cheers,

Road tyres always going to grip better on the hard stuff than muddies.

Yeah needed exactly the same tyres. There's more rubber on the hard surface in the modern RR.

lol at the classic not having the CDL in, probably why it didn't do to well.

Everyone has forgotten the weight difference. The new one has an extra tonne on the classic, which helps a lot for these competitions. Even swapping tyres over the new one would have won.

There is a video somewhere of Charles from Haltech winning a tug of war against Sam's Mogrover (Unimog axled V8 beast on 44" tyres). Charles was in stock(ish) range rover with an isuzu 4BD1T and small mud tyres, but had the weight advantage.
