Road, paddock same thing

A 50km radius of my place has more in paddocks than on the road.

I bet the youngest rangeys shown were broken and the owners couldnt afford to fix em.

That clip shows around 80 vehicles (give or take a few)

I think that claim (remember, it came from the Marketing Department!!) was made some time around the mid to late '90s.

I recall (I'll try and find a link later) that by around 1997, production numbers had exceeded 2.5 million units. That means there could be around 750,000 dead ones around, and their claim would still be true (as far as 1997 goes).

Especially if they got repair quotes from the dealers!

On the Cape somewhere,memory isn't as good as it was,someone has made a fence out of them.I will have to dig up some pics.
There are hundreds of them up there all over the place,rusting away,with real old toyotas,scouts,blitzes,etc.

One of my brothers worked up there for many years,so i got to see many areas the average explorer/tourist never sees.

The property we go to at Coen has a couple of old S1's on it,but they are staying where they are.
It (the property) has been handed down over the years,and the current owners can remember going in one of the S1's to school with water over the bonnet.
When they got home from school it was their job to refill the air cleaner with oil.
