 In particular the chassis repair would be of interest. I find it hard to believe that it could have been done. But I guess $$$ can do wonders.

 I agree, I'm not sure how you weld the holes up between the rust sections and turn it into what seemed to be a very solid chassis. Maybe they replaced the section that attaches to the hanger with the chassis number. :confused:

 Yep, they would have had to replace large sections if the pics of it when they got it are anything to go by. When does “restoration “ become replacement?

 I could be wrong, but I don't think the early 80" had the chassis number on the spring hanger!
