    88" military canvas canopy

    Hi.
Can anyone describe the differences between the UK and the Australian soft-top? Anything besides the flaps over the side and rear window?
Any good links where to bye one of theese soft-tops, new?
Mayby someone know where to downloade drawings, specs or pictures?
    Cheers,
    Ole

One of the REMLR guys was offering to manufacture the tarps to Aus mil spec, check out the REMLR forums.

Sorry I don't know the differences between the Aus and U.K, other than the people who make the civilian spec. canvas hoods say there is too much work in the military type.

Regarding U.K. Spec hoods you could try P.A. Blanchard in the U.K. who have a lot of ex-MoD stuff.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Unless you need an aus spec one, go to somewhere like PA Blanchard, Exmoor trim or all wheel trim in the UK.

The australian ones have open windows with covers which is the main difference rather than no or clear plastic windows.

I ordered one from Comptons 2000 in the UK and sent a picture of an Aus Ex Mil canopy.

They were happy to do the changes and did not charge any extra.

It is not exactly Mil Spec but I quite like it, another surprise was the addition of some flyscreen material to the open windows. I was a bit shocked at first but the addition is actually quite cool.

In March 2010 I was quoted 250 pounds plus postage which was around 190 pounds at the time.

Don't think red rocket was making them at the time put the price was comparable.

If you like I will post up some photos of the canvas as delivered and when I put it on.

    Cheers
