    Anyone have BLOS?

In my Sydney search for a gas installer i cane across a bloke who seemed well meaning however wanting to sell me on something other than the Marelli option im thinking about. The option was a blos gas carby.

    check this out :http://pmxpl.strefa.pl/files/blos.pdf

The main benefit of this system seemed to be that there is a smaller chance of an explosive air box owing to the item being positioned after the maf sensor. also no computer not injectors and really what seemed to be just a bolt on option.

So ive searched the site and no one appears to have spoken about them yet - does anyone have one or know anything about them ?

    From the PDF:

BLOS is able to reduce all the flashback
risks owing to a faulty mixture (it is
plain that it would be never able to remedy
a flashback caused by a defective sparking
plug or by a leakage of current coming from
the high voltage cables, or even by a use
leading to the complete emptying of the
LPG tank). The protection device of the
    flow meter ΓΈ 70F-70M code
90AV99010033 can be installed directly on
the BLOS. On this purpose, file the metal
flat band of the BLOS body ring nut contemplated
    for the air pipe coupling.
In other words, you still will get backfres from faulty set-up of plugs, leads, timing etc. just like a standard system. Forget it, it's soooo last century design. Impco is a variable orifice mixer too, and has been since the 1960's. You still have backfires with Impco systems. Just get the injection on and get on with life.

Exactly, our latest vans have the Landi Renzo injection system,so much better than the old systems.

The only issue if they do break down,i bet they cost a lot more to repair than the older systems.

I replaced a failed gas ECU on a Mercedes Sprinter van that had 250,000km on an injection system without any other issues. Yes it cost $550 but the owner was happy it took only that much to fix after 6 years of commercial use.

G`day a bloke on outerlimits has 1 on his nissan , if your interested do a search in the Rover section .

The reason it`s in the Rover section is because in his investigation he found that they are popular in Europe and used by Rover people .

We have 2 impco RRs and neither suffer from backfires etc but 1 has only been on impco since 1995 so i may be being a bit premature .

I looked at these but having impco ment i`d have to buy a converter also as they work on complex and not simple .
