I have a 3.9 (RRC) with the plastic tap connected to the heater pipes going into the firewall.
So, ham fisted that I am I managed to break one of the heater pipes going into the firewall. Instead of protruding it is now flush with the firewall, YAY ! :/
Anyhow, what I have done is bypassed the heater with a hose just returning straight back into the the tap.
Other than the obvious, no heater, will this caues me any issues?
My concern is the LPG mixer/convertor (whatever its called) not sure what if any affect this will have on the water flow ??
Also, If I have bypassed the heater can I just get rid of the tap ??
Your tap is controlled by a vacuum valve on the firewall. When the heater is selected for "off" it's just like a loop of hose. So yeah, if it hasn't caused problems like that it could be removed. Just make certain the gas converter gets full flow with the hose looped.
