    td5 with diesel gas

I have deisel gas on my td5 and feel it is using too much gas per tank of fuel, it seems to be using about 14l of gas (16l tank) per half a tank of deisel. as any one got any real life experience with usage. I feel it sould use about a tank of gas to a tank of deisel
    cheers

20% replacement is good, 25% is OK 30% or more gives poorer economy but excellent power. Have it turned down.

No mate, I am in Perth (Karrinyup) just originated from tassie, its will always be home but we are on a very slow big lap
thanks for the info, Iam getting 445km to a tank of gas, just thought that it would have been set up to only do one stop at the servo and not filling te gas tank twice to a tank of fuel. May need to look at a bigger lpg tank
    cheers

It depends upon the system installed. For example, it may need particular software for the system. On my laptop, I have the software for the Gastek DieselGas Sequent II LPG fumigation system.

OK, hear me out.. you buy a V8, and to be able to afford to run it you then convert it to gas.. you buy a petrol forklift then for cost and convenience you run it on gas.. You buy a diesel for it's economy.. Why would you then run it on gas when you still have to run it on diesel to save the fuel pump/injectors from ceasing/wearing out.. Yeah, if it's a 16 litre Cummins or a V8 Chev diesel it would help, but a Euro diesel thats already doing 9/11 litres per 100km? Is it worth it and what are the benifits if you are putting a tank of gas thru it every time you fill the diesel tank...?? Can of worms maybee, but tell me more!

Sitec, it's not for economy, it's for the extra power. Any economy gains are a bonus.

Petrol forklifts are run on LPG due to emissions, gas burns cleaner for inside use.

Diesel gas (LPG fumigation) doesn't work like that. By replacing 20% of your diesel useage with cheaper LPG (IE backing off a little when the gas is turned on) you save approximately 10% of your running costs, it burns cleaner, and you have extra power available at full throttle. And you have extended your range too. The LPG rebate made it quite affordable compared to the full cost before.
