Anything can make a LPG vehicle stop while they are being driven, especially loose/dirty terminals on LPG solenoids, loose or split air intake hoses, out of tune conditions (too much gas, too little gas), wrongly connected snorkel balance lines, empty gas tank, worn ignition lock, etc. etc

LPG will affect your fuel gauge if it is actually connected to your fuel gauge. Many systems have their own LPG level gauge. Most dual fuel systems use a small amount petrol for starting and then there's evaporation from a petrol tank that no longer holds pressure. This makes your fuel gauge go down.

It may be time for you to visit an LPG fitter for a check up.

The excess flow valve can close supply of gas, but you would have to be towing 3 tonne up a steep hill wilh a 454ci engine flat out for it to happen

How is this question any different for any other type of fuel?
