    Running rough clues

D2a, 4.6L motor, sequential injection LPG

Been running smooth as for ages, now its running rough and spluttering along on LPG but only intermittently. Some days it's smooth as, some days it feels like its only running on 6cyl. Some days it gets better, others it doesn't.

    On petrol it runs fine.

Occasionally i get a P130 or P150 fault (o2 sensors) but they're near new and the fault it only intermittent. Clear the code and it might be 3-4 weeks before one comes up again.

Any things I should be checking to try to narrow down the cause?

Sticky injectors, I see them occasionally. Some types can be dismantled and cleaned, others are best cleaned by removing the block of injectors. Put a length of hose on each outlet, squirt throttle body cleaner into the hose, then apply compressed air to back flush. Repeat until no dark fluid runs out of the injector block inlet. All injectors are lightly spring loaded to the closed position and will flow backwards at a modest pressure. Also check/clean/replace the vapour filters in the supply hoses to the injector blocks.

If you are unable to see the one inlet and 4 outlets without my guiding finger, you might be better off taking it to a specialist and asking for an injector clean.

Hah. I can see all that and understand it fine. It's just knowing what's okay to unbolt!!

It's booked in for a service next week, might leave it for them.
