    Current gas bottle prices

    Hi guys,
I am in Darwin and want to make a diesel gas system for my 300tdi Disco. As a result I will need a Gas tank, and I am wandering what sort of price the 19L Manchester tanks are currently retailing for. (Reason for asking I can only find 1 automotive gas fitter and I fear he has a distinct monopoly so I am considering an interstate purchase).

And prior to the flaming beginning, I have every intention of getting my system plumbed and certified legally :-) If I don't my wife said I am not allowed to fit it.

    Thanks in advance guys.
    Cheers, Adam

I haven't bought one for couple of years but could check for you tomorrow. BTW the APA G84END one is a better size at 24WC. I know APA had a couple in stock as of 1 week ago because I enquired for someone else.

    Bee utey,
I was looking at options for mounting the other day, and I have to think outside the square; I have sill mounted diesel tanks.

Thus far my only real option I have is putting a tank inside the frame rail toward the passenger side chassis longitudinal, slightly aft of the . I will have to remove the centre muffler and rework the exhaust but that is achievable. Have you ever located a tank in this position in a D1?

I am not considering a tank in the luggage space because we use all of our 7 seats, even though this would be the easy option.

    Cheers, Adam.

No but looking under my spare RRC you're going to have fun mounting the tank. You won't be using an end fill one. At 830mm long the Manchester cylinder will extend from behind the transfer case to somewhere rearwards of the upper suspension arm chassis points. It'll probably have to go in at an angle to miss the handbrake and the pivots. Making the mounts to the chassis will be fun.

    Cylinder type: 270077.2
