    LPG tank testing cost ?

    just wondering how much to get a tank tested.
    i can get a 1 year out of date stainless tank for $60.00 fits in perfect.

    any one had it done????

    Tank costs

    I had the one in the rangie done about 12 months ago cost 200-230.bloke came out and did it on a saturday morning..........rang him yesterday no longer does it............rang a few places roung c'town and the price was about the same.

    I said a bit more than that, but theres not a lot you can do the 3 places i rang were all about the same price,and all wonted the tank out of the car and empty.

    I was talking to the local servo on the weekend and one of their customers does it. He empties the tank, certifies it, then returns the gas to the tank. They were going to get his contact details for me as I have a tank that needs to be tested.

    I had my twin tank setup tested only a month ago, $440, but these use a multivalve fitting which is the most expensive type to have tested. If your tank has seperate valve fittings for inlet, outlet and pressure relief then it will only cost about $80 + parts (a few o rings etc).
    Check the yellow pages for gaslife, he is a mobile tester and will come to you, also Gary's mobile testing - both operate all over Mel.
