Mate I got mine done at Rumbles at Dungog and after I got it dynoed (Triggs at Toronto) it runs like a dream and the savings in fuel is unreal.I had two tanks fitted underneath on both sides so there's no loss of space. Pat

This is for all you long suffering series 2 V8 owners who hate pulling up at the petrol pump. After what seemed an endless wait, two weeks ago I got my vehicle back with its brand new gas sequential injection LPG installation up and running. Am I happy? Am I what! The fuel consumption LPG over unleaded increased only about 5% in litres and the power feels (no dyno, can't be bothered) almost identical to LPG. I went from Newcastle to Scone the other day on business, a trip which would normally set me back around $83 at current LPG prices and instead cost me $31. I am absolutely (touch wood)so far pleased with it, even though the 93 litre tank takes up a LOT of room in the luggage space. I have a cargo barrier and am building a cover for the tank so we can stack stuff to the roof if we want. Fantastic, we get that beautiful, silky V8 power at a runnng cost of only around $9 per 100k's. Karl at Greenlight in Thornleigh did mine at a cost of $3900(less the $2000 rebate) which means I will recover the cost of the installation in less than six months (yes, I do a lot of k's). Karl did say he would probably need 6 months to recover.

Yep, I am wrapped with mine on the D2 as well.
Do you ever tow a camper or heavy trailer. If you do I would be interested in hearing how it goes. Towin is my only propblem with the LPG. Driving around city everyday I am getty only slightly wosrse than petrol economy, but when I tow the camper for holidays, the fuel economy goes through the roof.
As an example I towed the camper down to Appolo Bay (about 200km of a variety of freeway, highway and mountain roads) On the way down I used petrol and got 19l/100km. On the way home I used LPG and got 27l/100km.
I would love to know if others get the same or if it is just the mapping on mine.

p38arover you've got me there.I know it starts on petrol and then switches to gas,the guys at Triggs comented on how good a setup it is($4800 it would want to be)And it runs very well, you can't tell the difference between them.In saying that I think it runs better on gas. Pat

It must be a D1. Derek said he hasn't done a D2 V8 yet. I was thinking of going SGI on mine.
He had a look at my P38A today and is pretty sure it's not firing on cyls 1 and 2. Removing the injector plugs made no difference to the running.
Plenty of spark and the injectors are OK (it's doing it on LPG as well as petrol) so I have problem which is common to LPG and petrol.
