We use penrite HPR GAS 20w/60 in our LPG Mitsi work vans & have done for 20yrs.We also supply this oil to the Dealer if the vehicle is under warranty for them to use in our vehicle. We generally change the oil every 12 to 15k,& have never had an engine problem.
We now have a Hi ace with factory LPG,it will be interesting to see what oil Toyota use ,it hasnt been for its first service yet.I bet they use Toyota oil, whatever that is.The penrite gas 20w/60 may be to thick for it?

When we were using a lot of castrol synthetic refrigeration oils,in the late 90's,the Castrol rep told me ,castrol GAS oil was no different from their other oils, just different packaging! This situation may be different today.

That doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
Way back when I had a 351c on LPG I used Penrite gas, but after building a new engine I switched to Mobil 1 15W-50 and occasionally Rormula R 10W-60 or BP's full synth Visco whatever. They all had ok for LPG use on their labels.
