    Hi Flemo

This weekend there is a gathering and AULRO 11th Birthday with the people from SLOW and the Gold Coast LROC at Glenreagh on the Orara Way between Coffs Harbour and Grafton.

See the thread on the Cross-Border Weekend. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/upcoming-e...qld-n-s-w.html

Mr Ploppy lives near Taree (he'll be at Glenreagh too)

    Gday Flemo,

Like Diana said I am not too far away from you. We will be hitting the road in hopefully 4 weeks time though for an extended period, perhaps never to return .

There are not too many other active members from up this way though from what I can tell.

    Hey Flemo,

There is some nice steep tracks in Kiwarrack State forest off the road heading to Tinonee, most of the tracks are pretty mild but if you look they are there.

Further up north Cells is worth a visit - up past Dingo Tops.

    What's this I hear?

You seemed to be settling in and making a permanent base up there for your family and bees. What's happened?

Kiwarracks tracks have..... degraded some what. 5hrs later and no whinch (hand which was left at home) i was out.

i went there last year and where that pic was taken the deepest rut was 10cm's i went a again 3 weeks ago and thats what happened.

also been barrington tops 4wding, Very nice tracks up there! camped at devils hole (theres a track behind the camp site that goes to gummi falls, be warned... its steep and muddy.)

    Talking

Have been doing a lot of tripping around since the last post, Finally found some snow up in Barrington tops (Use this site its good a predicting the snow Barrington Tops Weather Forecast (1585m))

Found a near by place called Wallingat forest has a look out at the back of it, very steep incline going up it just over 300m above sea level, Have been out to Cobar and Louth in the Disco was a good trek.

Photos below have tried to keep them to a minimum.

Am still looking for any keen Land rover people who want to do some Rover Trips, trek, camping etc.

Will be checking in on this page every week from now on.

    Wallingat

    A slice of barrington

That snow was in mid August!

    The Locals are "Friendly"

apparently that's the manning river. looks way cleaner up there.

Wallingat looks interesting, I migh head up that way in a few weeks time. Do you have any idea what the fishing is like in the river?

Barrington is a nice area. Unfortunately since a lot of it has been closed to 4WD's the areas still accessable are becoming overused and not now as nice as they used to be.

We did a trip up there last August and walked upstream from where your last photo was taken to see the Gummi Falls.

One of our campsites on a very seldom used trail - yes, there are still a few around.

    Roger
