G'day County85 and welcome, I see this is your first post. Your avatar shows a bicentennial dualcab - is that yours?. There were something like 28 County station wagons converted to dualcabs by Landrover specifically for the bicentennial authority back in "88 - all the ones I have seen are white (with blue stripes) V8 and 5 speed air cond. I saw the bicentennial travelling exhibition in Townsville that year and was so impressed with the 110 dualcab that I decided I had to have one, it took me about 6 years to find one which I have had since then. They did indeed tow huge trailers which folded out for display in a 5th wheel configuration all around Australia, mine still had the chassis bracket for the turntable when I bought it. All of them had a 60L sill mounted aux fuel tank on the drivers side. Mine is a 12/86 manufacture and I have modified it a bit with a turbo Isuzu motor, 4 speed LT95, gal chassis and I have put a roof over the rear tub with canvas sides. Can you tell us the history of your vehicle?
Well I'm the 3rd owner ( I think) after they were sold to the public. I brought it off my father in-law and he brought it off his friend who only had it a short while before him. I always said to my wife now back then if your dad ever sold the 4b ( that's what we called it) I would buy it and I said that 15 years ago. Since I have had it I have reprinted it myself, new decals on side, fitted lights, custom side steps, new terrafrima 2" lift shocks and springs, had EFI fitted ( ripped off by the installer ) custom spare wheel carrier and I have removed the small tank under the drives side so one day I will make a new alli one. It shows just over 180k on odometer and it seems to work ok so it must be close, my father in-law only used it 2 - 3 times a year to tow his boat while he owned it.
