Best of both worlds,
Michelin have inserts that you can put into a split rim to run tubeless tyres.
the Breach T-Rex and Iveco Daily 4x4 run XZL 255x100R16 on 16 x6.5 split rims , yes tubeless.
helping my dad, decide if he should change to tubeless rims for his perentie 6x6.
are the wolfrims the only HD option ?
we've read a 1000 posts on tyres lately.

I was thinking he had the Split Rims,
otherwise Ive always run the non-tubless one piece LR rims tubeless anyway . The michelin seal is just to run tubeless on split rims, and they don't have the safety ridges either. but 100% legal.
having trouble finding link - will look up Iveco parts book and get back to you
Its interesting back in the olden days when tubeless tyres were becoming common tubeless tyres were fitted to standard rims. The rib was not a requirement as the angle of the bead made the seal. In fact in Holden cars, the ribbed rims were called "safety rims" without any reference to tubeless.
The first Range Rover (classic) alloy rims were actually labeled tubed. The subsequent MY86 alloys that looked identical were labeled tubeless.
Being pragmatic, the only rims that shouldn't be used tubeless are rivetted rims or rims where there is damage around the valve hole.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
There used to be a company called "Peco Star" that was bought out by "White Systems".
They made a custom sunraysia style rim. Each spoke was double welded to the rim.
They are the sort of wheel you should be looking for. You should find a manufacturer if you ask around the off road racing scene.
