Oil being pumped from TC. to Gearbox ?

Ok this is not happening to my 6x6 , But was taking to a chap that has a civiy 6x6 that has just on 500 thou, on the clock.
He said that he had a problem with oil being transfered into the gear box. from the transfer box.
And said he had to make a hose that fitted to the filler to each so that when the oil moved to the gear box it could flow back to the transfer box.
Im only asking this to see if anyone has had this ,or heard off this happening .

    Just asking thanks Bob..

It is a common thing with the LT95 boxes Robert. Sometimes it is the seal between the gearbox and transfer just old and perished. When you rebuild them there is a procedure to fix it. Simply explained you put a new seal in, loctite the sleeve and gearbox output gear on the mainshaft and loctite the reverse idler shaft. No more leaks!!!!

Thanks Brian, The guy sounded like it cost him quite a lot off grief once,
He was the one that got me started on the 6x6 road when I saw his white 6x6 last year, This year he camped just over from me and was so taken by the new 6x6 that he reg. with G. O Line and brought him self a new one...
Well new as, He retired the white one and was driveing a new 4 ton proton, not happy Jan ,with the ride or the sand .
    Thanks Bob...

    Cool

Brian the fishing in this part off WA is always good, I dont have much time just now as Im doing a solar and wind genny fit to a friends fishing shack.
So far 200 amph off Lithium LiFePo4s 24 volt , 1k + off solar @ 24 volt, a nice wind turbine 500-750 watts from the stats 24 volt.( bloody windy here all the time)
All thats needed now is to put it all together, the post here in WA is so slow. But who cares when the weather is just that good..AND...
    Im haveing fun..

I was going to put a hose in to run the oil back, but it looks like its a old problem = when ks get over 300 thou..? hopefuly..

no theres no room here ....smile...
