Do they have one?
Just posted have bought a Perentie and the mechanics said the Heater is not working which is an issue for demisting the windscreen - they were going to have a look, but is this tricky? - should I maybe take it to a Land Rover specialist - any suggestions for simple fix, or are there any things they should be doing or looking out for?
Just keen to get it on the road for this weekend.
Thanks

Not tricky at all. Mine didn't work. The fan kept blowing the fuse.
I bought a new fan, problem solved.
Heater/demister not working is rather broad. What is the actual issue?
Just ignore Ron's comment. He has no idea what a real Landrover is.
Even when they are working don't expect it to do that well......
its also flap and cable controlled, its not uncommon for ham fisted operators to keep working at the levers until the cable comes out from one end or the other or if its a northern vehicle thats never had the heater used then they're probably rusted away.

In the morning and go over those suggestions
Thanks
Sam,
There are 2 parts to the heater.
The blower and heater matrix is the box on the fire wall inside the engine compartment on the passenger side.
The fan is inside this box and is one of the main culprits of a non functional demister/heater. It is controlled by the lever on the left of the dash binnacle (fan and open/closed). The fan has 2 speeds when you push this lever down.
The temperature lever on the right of the binnacle also end at this box.
The other part is behind the dash.
This part controls the flow to feet or demist. This is controlled by the other lever on the right of the binnacle.
As Dave said the culprits here are the cables that rust and seize up.
I would put my money on either the fan or the cables as the others have said. Mine had issues with all three cables and the fan!!
