green is good

I've already psoted this on the 110 etc. forum, but maybe it's actually more appropriate here:
Convinced a mate of mine (old Pootrol driver) that Land Rover should be his next 4WD
Now he's got his eyes on one of those olive green jobs, but doesn't know where he might get one from...
Anyone know if the Army sells Perenties that have reached their 'use by' date? Auction maybe?
Or should I convince him that it's a bad idea and get a civvy truck instead?
Any advice appreciated...

Unless he wants a series 111 there may still be a wait for the 110,s to come up at auction![]()
As above. Tell him to get a Tdi300 Defender, 110 Isuzu or 110 V8. These are the next best thing and can be picked up cheaper and easier.
The V8s are plentiful and rediculously cheap!

get a defender, essentially teh same as the army ones (or a county 110 if you want to be pedantic).
The army ones aren't going to be released just yet!
