It really depends upon the date the trailers were built. The really dangerous crocidolite and amosite containing brake shoes have been banned from the early 1980s. However for trailers built before December 2003 there is a chance that the shoes contain chrysotile (white asbestos) and Defence Materiel Organisation therefore assumes that any vehicle with a build date prior to December 2003 contains asbestos, irrespective of the fact that they contain asbestos or not. Someone with the RPS should be able to give you the brake manufacturer part number or just contact track Trailers (Track Trailer) who made them in the first place.

That's a one tone cargo. There's a thread about the brake shoes on here somewhere. Diana may remember.
I didn't think Track made these. Mine is a Crump & Cornish and I've seen some advertised as Haulmark.
Track made the RAAF Tactical and some of the N0.5's I think.

Yes you're correct Mick, only the track trailers were made by Track Trailers, interestingly my Haulmark trailer wasn't made by Track trailers either, but surprise surprise they were made by Haulmark Trailers in Qld.
So taking a long stab at it, the Crump and Cornish trailers are possibly made by Crump and Cornish, but don't hold me to it!
The Haulmark PT1-1.2 User Handbook specifies the brakes as:
Main Brakes Manufacturer: Cebco
Type: Caliper Disc Brake with C500 Hydraulic Override Coupling
Park Brakes Manufacturer: Cebco
Type: Internal expanding, single shoe drum type
As for the No.5 trailers, the original circa 1963 cargo variant trailers were made by the Government Ordnance Factory Maribyrnong (later re-named ADI) in Vic, and the workshop variant by Pressed Metals Corp, Enfield in NSW. Later No.5 contracts in the 1970's and 1980's were let out to various smaller manufacturers which could have included Track Trailers.

Yes Diana. You are correct.
The point I was trying to make, this trailer, the one pictured here, the one posted by thecanoeguy, the one ton cargo,
could have been made by Haulmark as I have seen some advertised as Haulmark.

i should have said shoes ,it has drum brakes ,hopefully may be able to try a few of these places

What configuration of camper do you favour for the track trailer?
As you probably recall I bought the civvy version with butterfly top earlier this year.After lots of thought am almost sure I will fit a Cub type hard floor module to mine.Can access trailer proper via lift up bed and fit a pull out kitchen.
Relatively light and easy to erect/close and no dirt inside.Plus all those great track trailer benefits

I ended up buying a Trekmaster 9. It was the only one I could find that was prepared to supply a camper top with a 1200mm drop.
I would have preferred to get and Australian made one made from a good quality canvas but I found the Australian manufacturers were most unhelpful. The best of them offered to sell me the canvas so I could make my own.
Dingo Campers were the best of a poor lot. The camper business must be booming.
That may be a little unfair. I had no problems at all with Dingo Campers. They were happy to order it in and make the sale which is not the response I got from any of the others.
I suspect you won't have this problem. Being a civy Track I suspect it won't sit as high as the military version and you probably won't require a camper top with a 1200mm drop.
Measure the height of the trailer from the ground to where the camper top is going to be mounted and that will be the minimum drop.
